THE RIGHT EXCELLENT MARCUS MOSIAH GARVEY - Leader, Journalist, Nationalist, Teacher, Venture Capitalist, Organizer, Chief Executive Officer, Political Scientist, Entrepreneur, Philosopher, African Orthodox Christian, Poet was born in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica, in the parish of St. Ann's. He was a Man of intellect from since He was a Child; and His father afforded Him a library so that He may learn the world. He became passionate about finding out why His people were in the predicament that they were in on the world stage and decided to go on a campaign of uplift to redeem the people He so loved. He created His organization to revitalize African Descended peoples as a nation as well as instilling the idea that His people should be proud of who they are and be dignified in themselves via race. No other movement for Blacks, Africans, Moors, Israelites, Muslims, Christians, Black Jews etc., has achieved the amount of peoples and unifying power that this Man, blessed by His Ancestors and His Creator, to have during His lifetime. This is undisputed fact.
Aside from the fact that He was a powerful leader and charismatic speaker, He was also a very talented poet and also dabbled in music (Please read all the works of Professor Tony Martin on the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey).
The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's organization, the UNIA-ACL, provided a flag (akin to the flag of the Mahdi's Moorish flag of Nubia), affordable food, jobs, property, organizations and schools for both adults and children, and the first military to defend people against economic, societal, and political imbalances, in regards to African descended people throughout the entire planet. Organizations such as Colleges and Universities, the Nation of Islam, Moorish Science Temple, and Rastafarians, Black Synagogues, Orthodox Islam, and Christianity, all respect this Wonderful Person in their own way. However the degree of respect, we cannot thank Him enough for having the drive and the motivation to give an example to all from which to formulate their own respective organizations.
