My Reflections….
Yeah, I took a look in the mirror this morning
I see that same chick I saw yesterday
And the day be fore that
And the day before that
A beautiful reflection of me
Yeah, That 5 star chick
That one who knows she’s a queen
Diva down from head to toe
All dressed up in designer clothes
Gucci, Fedia, Prada, Lou vaton
Hell, whom can touch me
When im looking this damn good
As my reflection in the mirror burns
Not needing or wanting anyone to crowd her space
She knows she is that chick every man needs on his hip
That ride or die chick
Down with the get down
No matter for far down she has to go
Hmmmmmmmm as I began to giggle
Laughing at myself beyond disbelief
As my true reflection begins to shine through
Trying to understand if I am so great
Why am I sitting here alone?
Jonahing for that love jones
Looking for my mister right
Hell, I’ll take Mr. Right now if he is available
Naa, I’m not that hard up
As my reflection stares at me from across the room.
You never truly know yourself
Until you start exploring yourself
As I stare at my reflection
I find myself reminiscing on a lot of things
One things for sure
Your reflection will not hide the real truth
No matter how hard you try to deny it
The reflection will burn through
Like that time I worked at the strip club
While turning tricks on the side
Hell I thought I was doing the damn thing
Until I found out I was being stalked
At first it thought getting this money would be easy
But my reflection of scars and burses tell me something different
My self esteem was at an all time low
Not caring about myself
Not giving a [expletive] how I dressed
Damn your reflection is a true [expletive]
Something you just cant deny
No matter how hard you try
Like the day I meet you
My reflection smiled for days
I could stand in the mirror
And listen to my reflection sing to me for hours
Listening to me saying
My first name with your last name
As though we were already married
Yes, girl he made your reflection come alive
As the mirror reflects our passion
As we make love for hours
Jumping in and out of the shower
On top of the dress, to the recliner
Oh damn you got me doing a headstand
Wow you will be amazed
At what you will see in your reflection
As you scroll through your vivid imagination
Some may be bitter sweet
Some dark and cruel
But the reflection in your eyes
Will never lye to you
My reflection is da realest [expletive] I know
Deep and complexed
Always keeping it real
Never lying to me to my face
My reflection tells it just like it is
And don’t give a damn how I feel
My reflection does not judge me
Simply acknowledges the fact that im real
I make foolish mistakes
A lot of bad choices
Traveled to many dead in roads
But my reflection has never talked about me
Never slandered my name
Never slept with my man
Because my reflection knows he is great in bed
My reflection burns deep in the mirror
Shines through my eyes
Like an hourglass half full
Can you see your reflection?
Can you every tell me your reflection don’t keep it real with you?
I’ll trust my reflection before
I would ever trust in you…
Remember im da realest chick
Dat 5 star chick
Yes that on every man wanted to be with
My reflection told me so
But yet im still standing here alone
Looking at my reflection
