THE RIGHT EXCELLENT MARCUS MOSIAH GARVEY - Leader, Journalist, Nationalist, Teacher, Venture Capitalist, Organizer, Chief Executive Officer, Political Scientist, Entrepreneur, Philosopher, African Orthodox Christian, Poet was born in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica, in the parish of St. Ann's. He was a Man of intellect from since He was a Child; and His father afforded Him a library so that He may learn the world. He became passionate about finding out why His people were in the predicament that they were in on the world stage and decided to go on a campaign of uplift to redeem the people He so loved. He created His organization to revitalize African Descended peoples as a nation as well as instilling the idea that His people should be proud of who they are and be dignified in themselves via race. No other movement for Blacks, Africans, Moors, Israelites, Muslims, Christians, Black Jews etc., has achieved the amount of peoples and unifying power that this Man, blessed by His Ancestors and His Creator, to have during His lifetime. This is undisputed fact.
Aside from the fact that He was a powerful leader and charismatic speaker, He was also a very talented poet and also dabbled in music (Please read all the works of Professor Tony Martin on the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey).
The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's organization, the UNIA-ACL, provided a flag (akin to the flag of the Mahdi's Moorish flag of Nubia), affordable food, jobs, property, organizations and schools for both adults and children, and the first military to defend people against economic, societal, and political imbalances, in regards to African descended people throughout the entire planet. Organizations such as Colleges and Universities, the Nation of Islam, Moorish Science Temple, and Rastafarians, Black Synagogues, Orthodox Islam, and Christianity, all respect this Wonderful Person in their own way. However the degree of respect, we cannot thank Him enough for having the drive and the motivation to give an example to all from which to formulate their own respective organizations. I did this piece as love to a special person and as an inspiration for us to dream. Because of the intense suffering and persecution that many people within the Americas had suffered, I believe we tend to be rigid in our desire to dream. We tend to be boxed in in how we envision our futures and frequently repeat the same rhetoric and cultural norms of the past because we feel that we must relive them in order to validate our way of life and existence. The Reign of an Empress is imagining a world where she rules and patriarchy and systems of male domination give way to a different perspective on how the world could be governed. I believe that difference will come very soon. DEOZI! For Artwork Services Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Who knows what we will look like or act like within the future? Yet some of our groups that want to see disadvantaged people redeemed in the world tend to lack in a creative mind. This is because of their conservative paradigms related to their group and their obsessively faithful view that what their leader did in the era that they lived, can somehow be repeated in future times and also still be effective. I do not agree with this position. Let us challenge ourselves and dream. A lot of what we think about today may not have the slightest impact or influence on the world to come. We must not be scared of that potential scenario. We must prepare our children to adapt to change in all ways for them to succeed. We must prepare them to be Masters of the Future! DEOZI! The wolf gets a bad rap. The wolf has become a nice scapegoat symbol for a lot of peoples religious ideas and also in how they describe other people. Now it is understandable that since we have a primal attitude towards predatory animals being our enemy (some would say its written in our DNA), we have a long history of making them into spooky and ghostly mysterious beings. This is because they have/had better eyesight in the dark than our ancestors (we obviously have better technology to assist us today); thus giving them the better advantage. Our ancestors, understandably so, made some of these animals into carnivorous devils for our myths (namely the wolf). In this day and time, knowledge is vast and we must not fall prey to marginal interpretations of ancient wisdom whenever that same interpretation demonizes or teaches us to demonize something we do not understand or fear.
I submit that we should use the wolf as a higher self symbol and not the sheep. The wolf is an excellent animal in it's own right. We should not make the wolf represent our undesirable nature. We should respect the wolf as a Higher Self as in our Native American culture.
For the sake of our symbols: a wolf is leadership, innovation, and motivation. A sheep is lazy, lethargic, and does not show as much purpose as the wolf. Humans are predators and so are wolves. Humans may share eating vegetation with the sheep, but we are more wolf than sheep. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. DEOZI! For Artwork Services Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Some people romanticize our fight against injustice because of nice fairy tales or stories we are conditioned to hear as children. They believe we are supposed to look pretty, valiant, and handsome to match the beautiful ideal that is called justice. Most often than not, justice never looks pretty; and it is best served in the most ugliest manner to show it can be more effective than the wrongdoer. Just as how what we consider to be evil, is relentless, we must match it with justice to either equal or greater extremes. Justice should never be pretty. And real justice is not! DEOZI! When people think about the Word of God or the Logos, they always think of the mainstream religions that they were taught to observe. That is fine; as long as we also look upon places outside of our religions that may have had similar concepts existing before the foundations of most civilizations. Enter Ptah. He is the Word of the Ancients of the Hapi/Nile River Civilizations. Let us give credit where it is due and let the world know that ideas of evolving and beginnings stem from the continent of what is now called Africa. DEOZI! All things in life that we and see behold are living since life is motion. Even things that we consider to be inanimate objects are actually moving. Movement is life. The greatest expression of this is what we call Nature. And since Nature is the oldest of things - the most mysterious of things, we label it as a Mother. Nothing could be so ancient and not be viewed within the feminine since it is the bringer of life upon this planet. She goes by many names: Mut, Atabey, Asase Ya, Yemoja, Mamiwata, and the list goes on. We respect her in all her glory and magnificence. DEOZI! For Artwork Services Contact: email@example.com
This is an ode to all men and women that dedicate their precious lives in the workings and doings of plain old ignorance. If ignorance was a religion (and it is), no organized expression of the same can match it. It's easy to do. From the smallest to the largest, to the smartest and the dumbest, all engage in ignoring the facts (some on purpose) and in turn, do harm to living beings. No one is more faithful to ignorance than the misguided and the downright evil. Since this is the case, I decided to symbolize ignorance within a nice unhealthy cereal that would surely bring death to the ones that eat it. IGNORANT BASTARD CEREAL is for all those that knowingly cause havoc in the world without remorse. EAT A BULLET! DEOZI! For Artwork Services Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
I bear witness to nature (ntr). Nature shows us that the earliest forms of life were base cells. Those cells evolved relative to their environments and are the parents of all complex beings. We are cells, simply billions of them working together for a common purpose. Even on the complex level, we still represent what took place in the beginning. Our greatest expression of being in the image and likeness of those cells are women. Women are mobile eggs that can walk around. The original cells originally split within themselves and then separate. That process can still be seen with the woman. The female is an ancient being. More ancient than any being on this planet. Heru is the son of Aset (Isis) and Asar (Osiris). He was raised after the violent dismemberment of His Father. His Father was betrayed by His Brother (along with cohorts) in an orchestrated Coup De Tat of the Monarchy and Administration.
Set, the Brother of Asar, locked Asar into a newly designed coffin (which was perceived as a present) and sent it floating away in the water, until it hit the Lands of the Retenu or Aamu (Namely Lebanon). It became lodged underneath their city and, via diplomacy, the Lady Aset, was able to secure the coffin and reclaim Him. Set became aware of this and later butchered Asar in 13 to 14 different pieces and put them throughout the Beloved Land. Aset then went on a mission and campaign (along with Set's wife, who also had a son for Asar), to find all of Asar's missing parts. In each place, His Parts was found, was placed in a shrine in reverence of Him.
In a bold move, Heru's Mother then took Her Consort's Sperm and impregnated Herself and gave birth to Heru. She then took Him away from His Ancestral home and raised Him as a warrior, in the hopes of Him overthrowing His Uncle and reclaiming the throne as rightful heir and for the vengeance of His Father.
It is said that the battle raged for about 80 years until Heru finally defeated Him. He took the throne and His Father became the Lord of the Life After.
Heru is usually depicted by a species of Hawk. I never really saw anyone using the actual bird, within their art, to represent Him. I thought it was fitting to use the animal that represents Him because His symbol is still a living and breathing animal in the world. Respect to the Ancients! DEOZI!
